Principles of medication in the treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis based on the TCM inheritance support system

Abstract:Objective To study the principles of medications for CGN based on the TCM inheritance support system V2.5.Methods “CGN” was used as the key word to search CNKI database, Wan Fang database and VIP database for related prescriptions reported between 2010 and 2019. Platform integration analysis, association principles, system entropy aggregation and other methods were used to conduct data mining. The frequency of core drugs, formulation rules and new prescriptions were analyzed through the TCM inheritance support system V2.5. Results A total of 201 effective prescriptions involving 283 traditional Chinese medicines for chronic glomerulonephritis were screened from 208 pieces of literature. The statistics of prescriptions showed that seventeen types of herbs had been used more than 20 times. The top five types of herbs included Astragalus membranaceus, Poriacocos, Chinese yam, Cornus, White astractryhodes rhizome while the top five herb pairs were Cornus/Chinese yam, Cornus/Astragalus membranaceus, Cornus/Poriacocos, Chinese yam/cocos and Astragalus membranaceus/Chinese yam. Based on the entropy clustering algorithm, 34 core herb pairs evolved that consisted of 3 to 4 types of Chinese herbs and 17 new compositions were made available.Conclusions The main function of medicines used to treat CGN is to tonify the liver and kidney, induce diuresis, remove edema and activate blood. The new compositions have something in common.
