Abstract Objective To evaluate the variance of insulin resistance after continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSⅡ) or multiple subcutaneous injection (MSⅡ) therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients. Methods Sixty newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients were randomly divided into two groups: CSⅡ and MSⅡ group. SIM were calculated to evaluate the variance of insulin sensitivity. Results SIM(26.98±11.99)were significantly higher in CSⅡ group than (22.14±9.00)in MSⅡ group, P =0.042. Conclusions Short-term CSⅡ can effectively increase insulin sensitivity in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic
