Abstract Objective To analyze retrospectively the efficacy of negative pressure drainage technology for deep second degree burns. Methods 51 patients with deep second degree burns were divided into VSD group(28 cases) that underwent VSD after debridement and the conventional medicine group (23 cases). Both groups were transplanted with blade-thick skin pieces or thick skin pieces to close wound after the wound became fresh. Results Compared with conventional medicine group, wound healing time was shortened, pain alleviated, and the cost reduced in VSD group. Conclusions The negative pressure drainage technology can accelerate the healing of second-degree burns. It should be made more accessible.
