Abstract:Objective To investigate the role of hBD-2 gene for the clinical anti-infective therapy. Methods Legionella pneumoniae infection in NCI-H292 cells, using colony formation assay, Western blotting , and ELISA to investgate the related gene changes in the MAPK pathway. Results hBD-2 inhibited Legionella pneumoniae, and Legionella pneumoniae induced secretion of hBD-2 mainly through the JNK and p38 pathway. Conclusions Legionella pneumoniae induces hBD-2 secreted from NCI-H292 cells, which is mainly due to JNK and p38 pathway.
