Abstract:Objective To study the differences of blood routine and polycythemia prevalence among four areas of different altitude in Sichuan. Methods (1)The subjects were divided into four groups according to altitude. (2) Eight parameters of blood routine of each group were detected. (3) The blood routine parameters were analyzed for statistically significant difference among the four groups and the polycythemia rate between group Ⅲ and Ⅳ. Results There were significant differences in WBC,RBC, Hb, PLT etc. among the four groups. There was significant difference in the prevalence of polycythemia between group Ⅲ and Ⅳ. Conclusions The reference range of blood routine should be established according to different attitudes. Protective measures should be taken to prevent altitude sickness at high altitudes.
