Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of migraine with cerebral infarction. Methods Thirty-nine patients with cerebral infarction were recruited from 298 young patients with migraine(20-40 years)as group A in the People’s Armed Police Forces Hospital from January 2009 to October 2012.And 39 patients without cerebral infarction were randomly recruited from those 298 patients as group B.And in them all, the stroke risk factors were eliminated,including hypertension,diabetes mellitus,atherosclerosis,smoking and history of family hereditary stroke.Then we retrospectively analyzed the general information and clinical symptoms in the two groups.Results Gender,course of migraine disease,frequency of headache,lasting time of headache every time,sign,and contraceptives showed statistically significant difference(P＜0.05),but nausea and vomiting and family history of migraine were not statistically different in the two groups(P＜0.05).Twenty-six patients were subjected to infarction in the posterior cerebral artery in the group of 39 patients with cerebral infarction.Conclusions The clinical symptoms and signs in patients with migraine complicated by cerebral infarction consist of long course of headache, more frequent,long lasting in one time,and with a high rate of contraceptive history.Patients with infarction in the posterior cerebral artery are frequently seen.
