Methods Overall physical examinations were carried out in 1819 cadres, including more than 20 inspection items. The data was analyzed. Results 710 cadres (39.03%) had different health problems and 1109 cadres (60.97%) were healthy. According to the detection rate from high to low, there were hyperlipidemia(15.99%), fatty liver (11.27%), hyperuricemia (10.77%), cholecystolithiasis (8.46%), and renal calculus (4.61%). Incidence rates of fatty liver, hyperuricemia, and cholecystolithiasis were different in different age groups, and the differences were statistically significant. Incidence rates of renal calculus and hyperlipidemia were not different in different age groups, and the differences were not statistically significant. Conclusions Such diseases as fatty liver, hyperlipidemia, hyperuricemia and hyperglycemia, related to the working and living style of cadres, have become the major health problems. It is essential for us to conduct physical examinations regularly and take an active attitude for disease prevention and health care of the cadres.
