Abstract:Objective Comparison of two different dosage of anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Qingyin honey pills and Qingyin tablets. Methods ICR mice and SD rats were divided into blank control group, Qinghou Liyan granules group and ibuprofen group at random. The high-dose, the middle-dose and the low-dose groups of qingyin pills were treated by gavage for 10 d(according to the crude drug, 0.910, 0.455, 0.228 g/kg). Comparison of analgesic effect of two different dosage-honey pills and tablets on the capillary permeability in mice with acute exudative inflammation, rat granuloma inflammatory proliferation inhibition and acetic acid writhing test. Results All groups of Qingyin pills and tablets showed that optical density of peritoneal exudates in mice were be significantly reduced. There was significant differences in optical density, compared with the control group (P<0.01).In Qingyin pills groups, inhibitory effects on the capillary permeability in mouse abdominal cavity with acute exudative inflammation was stronger. All groups of Qingyin pills and tablets showed some inhibitory effects on granuloma inflammatory proliferation. There was significant differences in inhibition rate, compared with blank control group(P<0.01).The inhibition rates were 56.80%, 47.14%, and 54.18%, respectively, in all groups of Qingyin pills. The inhibition rate of Qingyin tablets was higher than those of Qingyin pills groups. Both groups of Qingyin tablets’ analgesic effect ratios were higher than 50%, analgesia percentages of Qingyin pills were 64.52%, 64.52%, and 48.60%, respectively. Analgesic effect of Qingyin pills was stronger than analgesic effect of Qingyin tablets. Conclusions Qingyin pills and tablets show anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, and Qingyin pills and tablets show their respective advantages in different inflammatory types. Qingyin pills still maintain the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects as original pills after change in dose form.
