Abstract:Objective To study the effect of information management on monitoring the risk of pressure ulcer. Methods The patients discharged in 2013 and 2014 were recruited as control group and observation group. For the control group, the paper form was used, report and step by step manual analysis of statistical were performed data. For observation group, the office automation system and information management method were used. Between the two groups, pressure ulcers in hospital, perioperative pressure ulcers in patients at high risk, and therapeutic effect on pressure ulcers were compared. Results For the two groups, pressure ulcers in hospital, perioperative pressure ulcers in patients at high risk of pressure ulcers, and the effect on pressure sores were compared using chi-square, respectively (4.459, 50.297, 29.666, 50.297), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01 or P<0.05). In observation group, the pressure sores, perioperative patients at high risk of pressure ulcers, and proportion of pressure ulcers reduced, and effeot on pressure ulcer healing increased. Conclusions Information management tools can be dynamically and conveniently monitor and track, timely intervene, standardize nursing consultation process, and properly treat, not only for clinically dynamically mastering the pressure ulcer risk management in whole hospital departments, but also can improve the quality of pressure ulcer care.
