Abstract:Objective To investigate the prevalence of chronic kidney diseases(CKD) and risk factors in the raw recruits of Armed Police Forces.Method 2200 subjects sampled by randomization methods were enrolled in the study .Data were colleted through questionnaires and laboratory tests. Results Microlbuminuria was detected in 62 subjects (2.82%),albnminuria in 13 subjects(0.59%),and hematuria in 8 subjects(0.36%).Renal function was normal in all subjects. Hypertension, hyperlipidemia,overweight and obesity were indentified as independent risk factors associated with CKD in the raw recruits.Conclusions The prevalence of CKD in the new recruits of Armed Police Forces of Anhui Province (3.77%)is lower than that of people in the local population(10.4%).
