Efficacy of mometasone furoate nasal spray combined with Tongqiaobiyan granules in treatment of allergic rhinitis

Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of mometasone furoate nasal spray combined with Tongqiaobiyan granules in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. Methods 128 patients with allergic rhinitis from June 2012 to June 2014 admitted to this hospital were randomly divided into the study group (64 cases) and the control group (64 cases). The study group received mometasone furoate nasal spray + Tongqiaobiyan granules;the control group was treated with mometasone furoate nasal spray alone. Comparative analysis of symptoms and signs of change, adverse reaction and 1-year recurrence was conducted between the two groups of patients. Results The total effective rates were 92.19% in the study group, and 70.31% in the control group (P<0.05). The clinical symptoms and signs in the two groups before treatment were not significantly different (P>0.05). The clinical symptoms and signs of the two groups after treatment were significantly different (P<0.05); the recurrence rate in the study group was after one year was 14.06%, and the recurrence rate in the control group after one year was 17.19%, and the difference was not significant. Conclusions The clinical efficacy of mometasone furoate nasal spray combined with tongqiaobiyan granule in the treatment of allergic rhinitis is encouraging.
