Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and related indicators of insulin detemir in the treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus. Methods The clinical data of 88 patients diagnosed with GDM between June 2016 and June 2017 was selected. According to options of treatment, these patients were divided into two groups, with 44 cases in each. The control group was treated with subcutaneous injection of Humulin N, while the observation group was subcutaneously injected with insulin detemir. The clinically relevant indicators were compared between the two groups. Results After 2 weeks of treatment, the blood glucose index and pregnancy outcome of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with gestational diabetes mellitus, insulin detemir is safe and effective, which can help control their blood glucose levels, improve the maternal and infant outcomes and induce lower incidence of hypoglycemia.
