Abstract:Objective To study the therapeutic effect of micro-implant anchorage against orthodontics. Methods Fifty patients were divided into group A and group B according to their time of admission to the hospital. Group A was treated with extraoral anchorage while group B was treated with micro implant anchorage. The therapeutic effects and adverse reactions in both groups were observed. Results In group A,the score of 17 cases was 80 or above, and the success rate was 76%, compared with 25 cases and 100% in group B. After treatment, the incisor inclination difference and angle difference in group B were larger than in group A, but the molar movement was smaller, suggesting the better therapeutic effect in group B. In group B after surgery, there was one case of oral inflammation, three cases of soft tissue edema, and one case of discomfort, so the overall rate of adverse reactions was 20%, lower than that of group A. Conclusions The effect of mini implant anchorage for orthodontic treatment is obvious, the rate of adverse reactions is low, and the anchorage stability is high. This approach should be made more accessible for orthodontic treatment.
