Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of vacuum sealing drainage combined with gluteus maximus myocutaneous flap for repair of deep wound in the buttocks. Methods From July 2012 to July 2019,35 cases of deep wound in the buttocks were treated with vacuum sealing drainage combined with gluteus maximus myocutaneous flap. The wound area ranged from 5 cm×6 cm to 15 cm×25 cm.The patients were treated with the corresponding drug treatment and nutritional support after admission, and were treated with vacuum sealing drainage after a period of debridement. The second stage was treated with gluteus maximus myocutaneous flap. Results All the flaps survived completely in 35 cases and the donor area healed. The shape and functions were satisfactory after a follow–up of 3 months to 2 years. Conclusions Vacuum sealing drainage combined with gluteus maximus myocutaneous flap can be used to repair deep wound in the buttocks, with the advantages of reducing the wound complications and the high cure rate, and it is a safe and reliable treatment method.
