Abstract:Objective To Study the clinical efficacy of a new solid-state laser combined with rehabilitation new liquid in the treatment of patients with stage Ⅲ/class C periodontitis. Methods Sixty patients who were admitted into the Department of Stomatology and Maxillofacial of Characteristic Medical Center of Chinese People's Armed Police Force From January 2021 to October 2021 and diagnosed with grade Ⅲ/class C periodontitis were enrolled. Through autologous comparison, the right and left sides of the patients' teeth were divided into the control and the experimental groups correspondingly, and supra-gingival and subgingival scaling and root planning were performed on each tooth. Patients in the control group were treated with a rehabilitation new liquid , and patients in the experimental group were treated with a new semiconductor laser based on the control group. The clinical efficacy of both groups, changes in periodontal clinical indexes (gingival index, bleeding index, probing depth, and attachment level) before and after 1, 3, and 6 months of treatment, and alveolar bone height before 6 months of treatment were compared. Results After treatment, the overall clinical efficiency of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), the periodontal clinical indexes of both groups were lower than those of the control group before treatment, and the difference between the two groups was significant (P<0.05). At 6 months after treatment, the alveolar bone height of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group before and after treatment, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusions The clinical effect of the new semiconductor laser combined with rehabilitation new liquid in the auxiliary treatment of patients with stage Ⅲ/class C periodontitis is remarkable and worthy of clinical promotion and application.
