Abstract Objective To study the correlation between dietary factors and hypertension in low-grade labor intensity population. Methods 251 low-grade labor intensity subjects from institution were recruited. The correlation between dietary factors and hypertension in low-grade labor intensity population was analyzed by the multiple linear regression analysis. Results The general morbidity of hypertension was 22.3%. Salt intake, alcohol consumption and self control consciousness are significantly with hypertension (P<0.01). Other factors have no significant correlation with hypertension. Salt intake and alcohol consumption are the risk factors causing hypertension and self control consciousness is a protective factor. Conclusions The non-abstemious diet is the main risk which will lead to hypertension.
