Abstract Objective To study the clinical effect of multiple incisions and floating thread drainage on perianal abscess in young soldiers. Methods Forty-eight patients were randomly divided into treatment groupⅠ, treatment groupⅡand control group (16 per group). The patients in the treatment groupⅠand treatment groupⅡreceived multiple incisions and floating thread drainage (treatment group Ⅱ dressed with moist burn cream gauze strip). The patients in the control group received traditional incision drainage. Results The postoperative healing time of incision in treatment groupⅠ(24.5±5.7) d and treatment groupⅡ( 23.6±7.3) d were shortened as compared with that in the control group(28.5±5.1) d (P<0. 05). But there was no significant difference in the cure rate and postoperative recurrence rate between the three groups. Conclusions Multiple incisions and floating thread drainage have a significant curative effect on treatment of perianal abscess in young soldiers.
