Abstract Objective To investigate the characteristics and reasons of military training injury in Chinese People’s Armed Police Force in order to provide basis for scientific organization of troops training.Methods Using epidemiological study, the investigation of training injury was carried out from December 2014 to August 2015.Results The incidence of training injury was 100%. Acute injury was 88.33% and chronic injury was 11.67%. The injury degree was mostly minor injuries, 56.67%. Additionly, the first of the injury site was the waist (25.49%). Furthermore, soft tissue injury was the first common type of training injury, accouting for 86.20%. And we found the main causes of training injury was the technical factors.Conclusions The incidence of military training injury is high, and active targeted prevention can significantly reduce the incidence of military training injury.
