Determination of resveratrol and ε-viniferincontents in the stems of grape vines from different habitats |

Abstract Objective To determine the contents of resveratrol and ε-viniferin in the stems of muscat grape vines grown in different areas.Methods High performance liquid chromatography was applied to determine the contents with a mobile phase that consisted of methanol-acetic acid aqueous solution by gradient elution. The wavelength of detection was 310 nm and 254 nm respectively, the flow rate was 1 mL/min, and the column temperature was 30 ℃. Results The linear relationships of resveratrol and ε-viniferin were good in the range of 1.76 to 17.6 μg and 2.75 to 27.54 μg respectively(R2=0.9999). The contents of resveratrol and ε-viniferin determined with this method ranged from 1.94 to 5.96μg/g and 8.74 to 15.41 μg/g in ten samples, while their coefficients of variation were 40.64% and 17.67%, respectively.Conclusions This method is simple, accurate and can be used to for quality control of grape vines.
