Application of smoking insecticide against cockroach in the control of flies in the Zhurihe training base |

Abstract Objective To observe the efficacy of the smoking insecticide against cockroach in the control of flies in camping dry toilets.Methods The smoking insecticide against cockroach was used to eliminate flies and compared with the traditional method of residual spraying of pyrethroid insecticides.Results The average decline rates of flies density at 1 h and 24 h after using smoking insecticide were respectively (100%±0.0%) and(46.0%±21.3%). The average decline rates of flies density at 1 h and 24 h after spraying of pyrethroid insecticides were respectively (79.6%±8.4% )and(52.4%±10.6%). Through statistical analysis, the killing effect of smoking agent is close to that of the traditional method.Conclusions The smoking agent has the advantages of small size, portability, simple operation, time and labor saving, and high efficiency. So it is suitable for fly control in camping dry toilets and worthy of promoting application by elementary troops.
