Predictive value of CEUS parameters for cervical lymph node metastasis of thyroid carcinoma |

Abstract Objective To analyze the predictive value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) parameters for cervical lymph node metastasis of thyroid cancer.Methods A total of 193 patients with thyroid disease and neck lymphadenopathy who were treated in Beijing Fengtai Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected and divided into a metastasis group and a non-metastasis group according to pathological examination; all subjects underwent ultrasound examination to record the time to peak (TTP), peak intensity (PI) and mean transit time (MTT) to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in thyroid cancer lateral cervical lymph node metastasis.Results The levels of PI, TTP and MTT in the metastatic group were significantly lower than those in the non-metastatic group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The AUC of PI, TTP and MTT in predicting cervical lymph node metastasis of thyroid cancer was significantly higher than 0.90, which has high clinical application value.Conclusions The use of CEUS parameters can effectively predict the lateral neck lymph node metastasis of thyroid cancer, and also provide important basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
