Abstract Objective To investigate the status of psychological resilience of nursing staff in tuberculosis area and its influencing factors. Methods A survey of 221nurses in tuberculosis area were investigated by general status questionnaire and mental toughness scale. The nursing staff were recruited from 3 Grade A hospitals, including a military hospital in Beijing, a tuberculosis hospital in Heilongjiang Province and a hospital in Shanxi Province, and 2 tuberculosis specialized hospitals below Grade A in Jiangsu Province and Jilin Province. The survey period was October 2021. Results The score of the resilience was 83.74±14.34. The analysis results of influencing factors of psychological resilience showed that, except for gender, education level, number of night shift per month and hospital grade (all P<0.05), age posed influence on psychological resilience, and was positively correlated (t=4.353, P<0.05), marital status (t=-2.499, P<0.05), working years (t=4.542, P<0.05) and professional title (t=9.169, P<0.05) had an effect on psychological resilience. Correlation analysis showed that age, marriage, working years and professional title were positively correlated with psychological resilience (r=0.238, P<0.01; r=0.152,P<0.05; r=0.275,P<0.01; r=0.218,P<0.01). Conclusions The psychological resilience of nursing staff in tuberculosis area is at a high level, and is affected by age, marital status, working years, professional title and other factors. It is suggested that the nursing management department should pay more attention to the psychological resilience of young and unmarried nurses in tuberculosis area, and constantly improve their psychological resilience level.
