Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Jinexiao adhesive plaster combined with exercise training on non-specific chronic low back pain (NSCLBP). Methods 113 patients with NSCLBP were randomly divided into a Jiniiexiao plaster group (n=58) and combined Jineixiao plaster and exercise training group (n=53). One week and 4 weeks after intervention, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Oswestry Disability Index (OSW) were used to evaluate the therapeutic effects. Results After 1 and 4 weeks, VAS scores and OSW disability index of all the patients in Group B had greater improvement than those before treatment, the difference was statistically significant( P<0.01).After 1 week, VAS scores and OSW disability index of all the patients in Group A had no significant improvement compcred with those before treatment, and at 4 weeks had significant improvement(P<0.01). After 1 week and 4 weeks, VAS scores and OSW disability index of all the patients in Group B had greater improvement than those in group A, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). Conclusions Jineixiao plaster combined with exercise training can significantly significantly improve the functional, painful status in patients with chronic NSCLBP. This protocol in clinical practive is quite effective.
