Abstract:Objective To study the value of ultrasonic elastography in diagnosis of benign and malignant breast tumors. Methods Ultrasound elastography was conducted in 186 patients with 205 breast mass in this hospital by using the improved method of scoring 5 points: 4-5 was malignant, 1-3 was begign. Results The data showed that diagnostic sensitivity was 80%, specificity 98.7%, accuracy 94.1%, PPV 95.2%, NPV 93.9%, χ2138.9,P<0.01. It also proved that the begign breast lumps of misdiagnosis were: 4 invasive carcinoma, 1 mucinous adenocarcinoma, 3 carcinoma spongiosum, 2 fibroadenoma and the misdiagnosed malignant ones were fibroadenoma. Conclusions Ultrasound elastography in the differential diagnosis of benign or malignant breast tumors has a high accuracy rate.
