Abstract:Objective To study the effect of low-dose aspirin on endometrial development in ovulotropic period. Methods 50 female patients with infertility due to ovulatory dysfunction were divided into study group and control group, 25 patients each. The control group received clomiphene treatment where as the study group took aspirin (100 mg/d) and clomiphene. Results 1 d before ovulation, TXA2 level (51.48±12.25)ng/L and TXA2/PGI2 ratio (0.59±0.23) in the study group were significantly lower than in the control group [(90.60±16.29)ng/L, 1.24±0.37], with statistically significant difference (P<0.05); endometrial thickness before and after ovulation the in study group [ (0.92±0.16) cm, (1.02±0.19 cm)] were significantly higher [(0.72±0.18)cm; (0.80±0.16)cm] (P<0.05); and in control group, 1 d before ovulation, uterine artery RI (0.81±0.05) was significantly lower (P<0.05); 10 d after ovulation, RI values in the two groups had no significant difference; compared with the control group,in the study group, 10 d after ovulation, endometrial area, interstitial area, luminal and glandular perimeter/room ratio, endometrial ER and PR were significantly higher (P<0.05). Conclusions During ovulation, low-dose aspirin therapy helps increase blood supply to the uterus, can effectively promote the development of endometrial thickeness, and help improve the pregnancy rate.
