Abstract:Objective To investigate the use of antibiotics among orthopedic patients with type Ⅰ incision operation before and after the specific rectification initiative in our hospital in order to provide reference for subsequent management.Methods The data on the percentage、DDDs、DUI、consumption、category and duration of antibiotics used in orthopedic patients with type I incision operation between August 1 and August 7, 2010(before the special rectification)and between August 1 and August7,2014(after the special rectification)were retrospectively analyzed.Results After the special rectification initiative,the percentage of antibiotics use in orthopedic patients with type I incision operation decreased from 100% to 53.5%, cephalosporins of the first and second generation were the most-prescribed antibiotics, and the duration、DDDs、DUI of antibiotics use became more standard. The per capita cost of antibiotics decreased from 921.3 yuan to 319.2 yuan.Conclusions The standard and reasonable application of antibiotics during the perioperative period can be promoted by strengthening the management of preventive drug application and adopting proper interventional measures.
