Abstract:Objective To investigate the risk factors of military training injuries among armed police officers and soldiers. Methods A stratified sampling method was used to investigate 534 officers and soldiers in a unit of Armed Police. According to the occurrence of military training injuries, 339 cases were divided into the injured group(observation group) and another 195 cases in the uninjured group(control group). Single factor correlation analysis and logistic regression analysis were used to investigate the risk factors for injuries due to military training. Results Single factor correlation analysis showed that missions, places of household register, training self-assessment, amounts of military training, attentiveness during training, training warm-up, cooling down after training, mastery of contents of training, protective measures in the training process, rationality of the training program, adherence of training to the syllabus, training fields and training shoes had huge influence on the occurrence of military training injuries. Logistic regression analysis showed that missions, places of household register, training self-assessment, cooling down after training, mastery of contents of training, rationality of the training program and training fields were independent risk factors for military training injuries. Conclusions Missions, places of household register, training self-assessment, cooling down after training, mastery of training contents, rationality of the training program and training fields are independent risk factors for military training injuries. Effective interventions should be enforced in light of the actual situation to reduce or even prevent the occurrence of military training injuries.
