Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics, imaging features and diagnosis and treatment strategies of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST).Methods The clinical data on fourteen cases of CVST patients treated in our hospital was retrospectively analyzed. Results CVST was a rare cerebrovascular disease to which the young and middle-aged were most vulnerable, with an acute or subacute onset. The majority of patients had clinical manifestations of intracranial hypertension or focal brain damage, such as headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, seizures and hemiplegia. The diagnosis of CVST depends on imaging features. Early use of anticoagulant therapy was effective. Conclusions The clinical manifestations of CVST are variable. MRV or DSA will contribute to early diagnosis. Early diagnosis and effective treatment are important to the outcome.
