Abstract:Objective To evaluate the semen status of patients with male genital system diseases, and also to explore the main influential factors of infertility. Methods 4340 semen samples were analyzed using by the SCA semen analysis system in Spain,according to the fifth edition of WHO Laboratory Manual for the Examination and Processing of Human Semen.And then seminal plasma seminal plasma was detected using the MINDRAY BS-480 biochemical analyzer. Results There were 1857(43%)entirely normal semen samples in the total 4340 semen samples of the hospitalized patients,and 2483 (57%) abnormal specimens,44 samples were semen liquefaction abnormal (1.77%), 54 were pH abnormal(2.17%), 303 were semen volume abnormal (12.20%) ,616 were density abnormal (24.81%),1423 were activity abnormal (57.31%),411 were seminal plasma fructose abnormal (16.55%),and there were 138 azoospermia samples (5.56%),52 hemospermia samples (2.09%),and 89 leukocytospermia samples(3.58%). Conclusions The decrease of semen quality is the main factor leading to infertility, among which the sperm motility is the most influential factor.
