Expression of Ets-1 in different banff classifying patients with chronic kidney disease |

Abstract Objective To investigate the expression of transcription factor Ets-1 in chronic renal fibrosis.Methods A total of 60 patients underwent renal biopsy from 1 May 2013 to 31 May 2015 at the Department of Nephrology in The Third Affiliated Hospital of Suzhow University were enrolled in the study and divided into four groups according to Banff scheme. Clinical and pathological characteristics of patients were investigated.The expression of transcription factor Ets-1 was assessed by immunohistochemical stainining.Results Compared with normal group,serum BUN, UA, iPTH and urineβ2-MG were significantly elevated in Banff Ⅰgroup. Serum BUN、SCr、UA、iPTH and urineβ2-MG were significantly elevated in Banff Ⅱgroup. MABP、BUN、SCr、UA、P、iPTH and urineβ2-MG were significantly elevated in Banff Ⅲgroup while Hb decreased. Percentages of global glomerulosclerosis,tubular atrophy, inflammatory cell infiltration and interstitial fibrosis significantly increased in Banff Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲgroups than in normal group. Immunohistochemical analysis showed that absorbance values of A were 0.05±0.01, 0.15±0.08, 0.32±0.07, and 0.54±0.12, respectively. Ets-1 were up-regulated in Banff Ⅱand Ⅲ groups.Conclusion Ets-1 is up-regulated in renal fibrosis and increases with Banff schems.
