| Clinical effects of traditional Chinese medicine Beishanbai in treatment of acute rhinitis |

Abstract Objective To study the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine “Beishanbai rhinitis prescription” in treatment of rhinitis. Methods 300 fatients with acute rhinitis were Randomly sampled, divided into two groups. 150 cases in the study group used traditional Chinese medicine, 150 cases as control group took cefprozil tablets. Syndromes and improvement of clinical symptoms were analyzed before and after treatment. Results In the study group, the total effective rate was significantly higher(96%) than that in control group with statistically significant difference (P＜0.05). Conclusions The syndromes in the study group improved better than in the control group, but efficacy is not different. In other aspects, the study group is better than the control group. The curative effect of “Beishanbai rhinitis prescription” in the treatment of acute rhinitis is significant, worthy of clinical application.
