Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of high intensity training on arrhythmias in Armed Police soldiers. Methods One hundred and twenty-eight Armed Police soldiers under intensity pre-job training were selected as the training group while another 144 soldiers under normal training served as the control group. The 24-hour Holter data of the two groups was collected before the changes of average heart rate, arrhythmias and MTWA were compared and analyzed. Results In the training group, the average heart rate[(77.15±8.85)次/min], the highest heart rate[(149.10±17.93)次/min] and the lowest heart rate[(59.67±10.50)次/min] were faster than those of the control group(all P<0.05). The incidence of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias and the average number of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias were rising in the training group(P<0.05). Compared with the control group, microvolt T wave alternans of 9 o’clock and the highest heart rate were increased(both P<0.05).Conclusions In stressful situations of high intensity training, Armed Police soldiers suffer from more arrhythmias than usually. The disorder of the autonomic nervous system which leads to myocardial electrical instability is one important cause of arrhythmias.
