Abstract:Objective To study the expressions and clinical significance of PTEN and survivin in retinoblastoma tissues. Methods Retinoblastoma tissue sections from 30 patients were selected as observation group, 30 healthy retinal tissue sections were selected as control group. Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the PTEN and survivin expressions, Expressions of PTEN and survivin were compared between the two groups, and their clinical significance was discussed. Results In the observation group, PTEN-positive expression rate was 53.3%;in the control group, the total positive expression rate of PTEN was 100%. In the observation group, the total positive expression rate of survivin was 60%;in the control group, the total positive expression rate of survivin was 0%;the difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05). Conclusions In retinoblastoma tissues, the survivin-positive expression was significantly increased and PTEN-positive expression was significantly reduced.
