A study on professional recognition and career planning by NCO nurses in border area

Abstract:Objective To know the professional recognition and career planning of non-commissioned officer (NCO) nurses in border areas;how to provide them with targeted management approach and content,so as the basis for the establishment of proper professional recognition.Methods In 22 non-commissioned officer nurses,professional orientation, professional emotion, and professional standards, investigations were conducted and found positive for professional orientation in six nurses(27.76%), positive for career planning at the fewest in number, only three nurses(13.64%).Using phenomenological research Methods, 22 non-commissioned officers in border areas were face to face interviewed. We analyed the acquired data,organized, compared, summarized, and extracted the theme.Results There are biases in NCO nurses’ professional recognition in border areas.They lack positive professional emotion and prospects for career planning.Conclusions In border areas, NCO nurses’ education curriculum guide insititution should increase professional recognition. Care managers should stimulate their professional enthusiasm, help them build positive professional emotion, so as to plan reasonable career prospects.
