Efficacy of compound azintamide combined with itopride in treatment of chronic cardiac insufficiency patients with dyspepsia |

Abstract Objective To investigate the efficacy of compound azintamide combined with itopride in the treatment of chronic cardiac insufficiency patients with dyspepsia. Methods Seventy-eight patients with chronic cardiac insufficiency and dyspepsia were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group (42 patients) and control group (36 patients). In control group, the patients were given 10 mg domperidone tablets three times daily while the patients in the treatment group took 2 compound azintamide enteric-coated tablets and 50 mg itopride tablets three times daily for two weeks. After one week or two weeks of treatment, the index scores of abdominal distension, indisposition after meals and poor appetite were evaluated. Results Symptom scores and total symptom scores of patients in both groups were improved, especially in the treatment group( P <0.05). Moreover, the therapeutic effect and remission time in the treatment group were superior( P <0.05). Conclusions The curative effect of compound azintamide combined with itopride in the treatment of chronic cardiac insufficiency patients with dyspepsia is significant, characterized by the rapid onset, remarkable improvement and few adverse reactions.
