Effect of 308 nm excimer laser combined with oral medicine on pityriasis rosea in Armed Police |

Abstract Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of 308 nm excimer laser combined with oral medicine against pityriasis rosea in Armed Police.Methods Eighty-one cases of pityriasis rosea from Armed Police who were treated at the skin clinic of our center between May 2018 and April 2019 were sampled as subjects according to the diagnostic criteria. These patients were divided into the treatment group and control group using the random number table method. The treatment group was treated with 308 nm laser combined with oral drug therapy, while the control group was treated with drugs for external use plus oral drugs. The curative effect and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results There were 2 patients and 1 patient with erythema and pigmentation in the two groups respectively, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). In the treatment group, 42 cases were treated, 30 of whom were cured, 9 were effectively treated, and 3 were improved, so the total effective rate was 100.0%,compared with 39, 20, 6 and 10 in the control group, in which the total effective rate was 92.3%. According to the results of grade data, there was significant difference in the curative effect between the two groups (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the total effective rate. The difference in efficacy between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Symptom remission took less time in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Pityriasis rosea is a common inflammatory skin disease with obvious clinical features, which seriously affects the work, life and training of Armed Police soldiers. 308 nm excimer laser treatment can effectively shorten the remission time of symptoms. Compared with the control group, such treatment process is simple, and it is not affected by training tasks,so it should be made more accessible to patients with pityriasis rosea in the army.
