The clinical diagnostic value and effectiveness of dermoscopy in pigmented basal cell carcinoma |

Abstract Objective To analyze the clinical diagnosis value and effectiveness of dermoscopy in pigmented basal cell carcinoma (PBCC).Methods A total of 93 patients with suspected pigmented basal cell carcinoma admitted to our hospital from March 2017 to March 2020 were selected. All patients were diagnosed by high-frequency ultrasound and dermoscopy. The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity misdiagnosis rate, missed diagnosis rate and consistency of the two diagnostic methods were compared with the pathological diagnosis results.Results The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, misdiagnosis rate, missed diagnosis rate, Youden index, and Kappa value of high-frequency ultrasound and dermoscopy in the diagnosis of PBCC are 83.87%, 84.61%, 82.14%, 17.86%, 15.38%, 0.668, 0.498和95.70%, 96.92%, 89.29%, 10.71%, 3.08%, 0.862, 0.654.Conclusions In the diagnosis of PBCC, dermoscopy has higher diagnostic accuracy, specificity and sensitivity than high-frequency ultrasound, and the diagnosis results are consistent with pathological diagnosis.
