Abstract:Objective To investigate the roles of soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-l(sVCAM-1), pregnancy associated plasmaprotein A(PAPP-A) and interleukin-6(IL-6) in pregnancy-induced hypertension. Methods Ninety-two pregnant woman diagnosed as having pregnancy-induced hypertension were recruited and divided into gestational hypertension group(50 cases), preeclampsia group(30 cases)and eclampsia group(12 cases). Eighty healthy pregnant women were set as controls. sVCAM-1、PAPP-A were measured by chemiluminescence and IL-6 was measured by radioimmunoassay. Results The levels of sVCAM-1, PAPP-A and IL-6 in preeclampsia group and eclampsia group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01). The levels of sVCAM-1 and PAPP-A had significant correlation in groups of preeclampsia and eclampsia(r=0.85, P<0.05), and the levels of IL-6 and sVCAM-1 had positive correlation in groups of preeclampsia and eclampsia(r=0.64, P<0.05).Conclusions SVCAM 1, PAPP - A and IL - 6 have obvious ralationship with gestational hypertension. They can be applied in the clinical generalization, increase the rate of early diagnosis and treatment of eclampsia and reduce maternal and perinatal mortality.
