Abstract:Objective To observe the influence of comprehensive interventions on the use of antibiotics in the outpatient department of an Armed Police Forces corps hospital. Methods The basic data of application of use of antibiotics in the outpatient department of hospital were retrievaled before (Aug, 2010 to July, 2011) and after intervention (Aug, 2011 to July, 2012); per capita cost, the proportion of antibiotics prescriptions and number of drug in both periods were searched retrospectively. Results The consumption sum of antibiotics in the outpatient department of corps hospital dropped from 1.9 million yuan before intervention to 1.4 million yuan, by 27.36%, the DDDS dropped from 123 thousand before intervention to 89 thousand after intervention, by 27.31%. The antibiotic use rate decreased from 16.25% to 10.83%; antimicrobial prescription proportion decreased from 26.5% to 19.95%, unreasonable prescriptions dropped from 8.9% to 2.12%; antibacterial drug adverse reactions from 46.85% down to 22.22%; the proportion of unauthorized priscriptions dropped from 359 to 33. Conclusions Through rectifications of use of antibiotics and implementation of comprehensive interventions, antibiotics is further more reasonable in outpatient department of corps hospital.
