Abstract:Objective To develop a novel fluorescent intravenous catheter in order to improve the success rate and save time in low light environments.Methods The fluorescent intravenous catheter was designed with high-efficiency, nontoxic, radiation-free, high-compatibility fluorescent materials and clinically applicable catheters were drafted and modeled. With the assistance of modeling experts, a prototype of the fluorescent intravenous catheter was constructed for the manufacture of the end product.Results Design of the fluorescent intravenous catheter was completed. The model and the end product of the fluorescent intravenous catheter were made available.Conclusions A fluorescent intravenous catheter has been developed.
