Abstract:Objective To investigate the consistency between the results of fecal occult blood test and helicobacter pylori antigen test detected by KU-F20, AVE-562 and FA280 stool analyzers and those of manual detection. Methods A total of 1851 fecal samples from inpatients were collected between June and September 2020. The fecal occult blood and helicobacter pylori antigens were detected by automatic stool analyzers and manually respectively. The sensitivity, specificity and coincidence rate of each instrument were calculated, while the difference and consistency were analyzed. Results Compared with manual detection, the sensitivity of Ku-F20, AVE-562 and FA280 fecal occult blood detection was 0.96, 0.91 and 0.99 respectively, the specificity was 0.75, 0.84 and 0.63 respectively, the coincidence rate was 0.91, 0.89 and 0.92 respectively, the paired chi-square test was P=0.424, 0.099, <0.01, and the Kappa values were 0.73, 0.71 and 0.71 respectively. The sensitivity of Ku-F20, AVE-562 and FA280 for helicobacter pylori detection was 0.88, 0.85 and 0.90 respectively, the specificity was 0.60, 0.95 and 0.66 respectively, the coincidence rate was 0.80, 0.88 and 0.83 respectively, the paired chi-square test was P=0.689, <0.01, 0.56, and the Kappa values were 0.48, 0.73 and 0.56 respectively. Conclusions The consistency of the three stool analyzers with manual detection in detecting fecal occult blood is significant, so is the consistency between AVE-562 and manual detection in detecting fecal helicobacter pylori antigens.
