Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of desloratadine citrate disodium tablets combined with vitamin D drops against chronic spontaneous urticaria patients with serum 25- (OH) VD deficiency. Methods One hundred and eight outpatients with chronic spontaneous urticaria complicated with a deficiency of serum 25- (OH) VD content who were treated in the Dermatology Department of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University between October 2018 and September 2019 were divided into two groups using the random number table method: the control group (54 cases) that was given oral desloratadine citrate disodium tablets alone, and the observation group (54 cases) that was treated with oral desloratadine citrate disodium tablets combined with vitamin D drops. The course of treatment was 6 weeks. The total effective rate of patients, daily episode number scores, daily episode time scores, Dermatological Quality of Life Index (DLQI) scores and serum 25-(OH)VD content before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the observation group after treatment was 83.33%, higher than that in the control group (64.81%). The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the mean serum 25-(OH)VD content[(59.43±10.08)nmol/L] in the observation group was significantly different from that of the control group[(30.19±9.60)nmol/L](P<0.05).Conclusions In the clinical treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria patients with a deficiency of serum 25- (OH) VD content , oral deloratadine citrate disodium tablets alone or in combination with vitamin D drops have good curative effect, but the latter approach is more effective in that it can significantly improve the therapeutic effect and patients’ quality of life, which should be made more accessible in future clinical use.
