Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical application of mammotome-assisted liposuction in treatment of accessory breasts. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 35 cases (70 accessory breasts) who underwent this surgical treatment.We used liposuction by tumescent anesthesia technique to remove the fat tissue,Mammotome system was guided by ultrasound to remove the fibrous glandular tissue through a 5mm incision.We observed the results of the evaluation of long-term efficacy and aesthetics. Results The operations were successful without complications,nor postoperative obvious scar, and had excellent cosmetic results.No recurrence was found during the follow-up of 6-12 months. Conclusions Mammotome-assisted liposuction is a minimally invasive treatment for accessory breast.This method is simple, feasible ,having cosmetic results and is easy to be clinically practiced.
