Abstract:Objective To study the applicability of the health risk appraisal(HRA) system to detection of blood lipid levels. Methods A total of 235 people who came to our center for physical examinations were divided into normal blood lipids group(Group A) and abnormal blood lipids group(Group B) according to the result of the HRA system. Results (1)According to the biochemical test or HRA detection, TG and LDL-C levels in Group B were significantly higher than in Group A (P< 0.05).(2)The incidence of high-TG,high-TC,high-LDL-C,and low-HDL-C in Group B was higher than in Group A. There was significant difference in the levels of high-TG and high-LDL-C (P<0.05) between the two groups.(3)The sensitivity of the HRA system to high-TG and high-LDL-C was 75.44% and 74.80%, respectively. Conclusions The HRA system can be used as a means of risk screening of lipid dysfunction in the healthy populations.
