Abstract:Objective To study the effect of metformin combined with liraglutide on changes of inflammatory factors and hormonal readiness in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) rats induced by dehydroepiandrosterone. Methods Eighty rats with PCOS that was induced by dehydroepiandrosterone were randomly divided into control group (n=40)and intervention group (n=40). The control group was given by ig melbine (270 mg/kg·d), and the intervention group was given by ig melbine (270 mg/kg·d) + lumbar injection liraglutide (5 μg/kg·d). The treatment lasted 28 days. Before and after treatment, the changes of interleukins-6(IL-6), tumour necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) , C-reactive protein (CRP), follicule-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), LH/FSH, estrogen (E2), and testosterone (T) were observed. Results After treatment, IL-6 was(23.88±7.32) pg/ml, TNF-α(13.24±2.23) ng/L, CRP(1.10±0.19) mg/L,LH(6.57±1.37) mIU/ml, LH/FSH(1.17±0.28), E2(1.11±0.18) pg/mL, and T(12.21±1.32) ng/dL, which were all lower than before treatment in both groups (P<0.05), while FSH(5.63±0.77) mIU/ml was higher than before treatment in both groups (P<0.05).Conclusions Metformin combined with liraglutide can reduce the concentration of inflammatory factors and hormonal readiness, which can facilitate clinical practice.
