Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy of nucleoplasty coblation in patients with lower cervical discogenic vertigo. Methods Seventy-eight eligible patients were treated with nucleoplasty coblation guided by the G mode X-ray machine. The visual analogue scale (VAS) and Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)were recorded before and after treatment. The improved Mac Nab criterion was adopted to evaluate the clinical efficacy. Results The VAS scores at each post-treatment time point were remarkably lower than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).The excellent and good rate of therapy at 3 days,3 months,6 months and 12 months after treatment was respectively 70.5%,77.0%,78.0% and 82.0%.Conclusions This study indicates that nucleoplasty coblation is an effective and safe approach to lower cervical discogenic vertigo.
