Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic and therapeutic effects of SRM-Ⅳvestibular functional diagnosis and treatment system on benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) in children. Methods The clinical data of 21 children with BPPV diagnosed in the Dizziness Outpatient Department of the 989 Hospital of PLA Joint Logistic Support Force from June 2018 to June 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The therapeutic effects and adverse reactions were compared and analyzed, and the follow-up results were analyzed at different time within 12 months. Results Among the 21 cases, the totol effective rate was 61.9% after the first treatment and 100.0% after the third treatment. During the 12 months of follow-up, 2 cases relapsed. After treatment, 5 cases (23.8%) had adverse reactions, among which three cases showed dizziness during or after activity, lasting for 5 two 11 days, and two cases experienced their own shaking sensation after activity, lasting for 9 and 15 days respectively, and all the 5 cases were relieved by themselves. Conclusions SRM-Ⅳ vestibular functional diagnosis and treatment system is effective in the treatment of BPPV in children, and the recurrence rate is low.
