Effect of Xipayi solid gingival fluid combined with platelet-rich fibrin membrane in treatment of chronic periodontal disease with three-wall bone defect

Abstract：Objective To study the effect of Xipayi solid gingiva solution combined with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in the treatment of chronic periodontal disease with three-wall bone defect. Methods A total of 98 patients diagnosed with severe periodontal disease and three-wall bone defects were selected from the Stomatology Department of General Hospital of Xinjiang Military Region from June 2021 to January 2023. All the the patients were randomly divided into a study group (n=49) and a control group (n=49) according to random number table method. The control group was treated with guide tissue regeneration (GTR) and artificial bone meal implantation, while the study group was treated with PRF membrane and Sipayi gingival solidifying fluid on the basis of the control group. The changes of periodontal exploration (PD), loss of attachment (CAL), gingival sulcus bleeding index (SBI), gingival plaque index (PLI), the level of intragingival inflammatory factors(TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-10 (IL-10) and the treatment effectiveness were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the study group patients had lower levels of PD, CAL, PLI, SBI, IL-6, and TNF-α and increased levels of IL-10. The total effective rate of the study group (95.92%) was significantly higher than that of the control group (79.60%), with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusions Xipayi solid gingival fluid combined with PRF can effectively improve the level of serum inflammatory factors and periodontal status in the treatment of chronic periodontal disease accompanied by three-wall bone defect.
