工会、产权保护与民营企业研发投资

摘要： 以中国工业企业数据库中的民营企业为样本，实证分析工会对企业研发投资的影响。采用企业是否建立工会、工会会员占比和工会经费占比等三个指标衡量工会变量，检验发现，工会与民营企业的研发投资支出显著正相关。进一步的检验发现，相对于产权保护更差的地区，在那些产权保护更好的地区，工会与民营企业研发投资的正相关关系显著更强。以上结果支持工会效应的利益协同观，而不支持利益冲突观。上述研究结论意味着，进一步完善中国民营企业工会的建立和运行机制，这有利于优化民营企业在投资决策中的资源配置。

Abstract: This paper examines whether labor union affects firm’s R&D investment. Using private enterprises in China industrial enterprises database as sample, and taking three measures as the proxies of labor union, we find that labor union is positively related with firm’s R&D investment. Further results find that the effect of labor union on R&D investment is strongly evidenced in better property protection areas. The above results support the view of benefit-coordination, and do not support the view of conflict-of-interest. Our research not only enriches and develops the research on labor union effect, and it also has an important enlightenment to corporate invest decision-making.
