Reflections on the Research Topics and Methods of Social Study of Science: Some Insights into the Journal of SSS

摘要： 摘要：本文对科技与社会研究中的顶尖国际期刊Social Study of Science (SSS) 2010-2013年间最新发表文章的选题、方法以及新颖观点进行追踪和关注，并展开反思性的思考，有利于借鉴国际思路和方法推进我国STS（Science, Technology, and Society）领域的学科建设。本文分别就SSS近年来的三个主要关注点和新颖议题进行梳理，包括生命技术科学的社会研究，司法鉴定科学的社会研究，以及社会科学的社会研究。同时发现在研究方法上更加偏重实证研究并强调实证方法的多样化，混合而非单一的实证方法(mixed-methods)逐步成为科学的社会研究中的主流。

Abstract: Abstract: This paper analyzed the research topics and methods of the publications in the top journal of Social Study of Science(SSS) and strived to reflect on the discipline of science, technology and society studies (STS). The social study of bioscience, the development of forensic science, as well as the social study of social sciences have been three important emerging topics in the current STS research. In the trend of methodology, the journal of SSS published more and more mixed-method research and emphasized on the diversity of methods used in the empirical work.
